“Finca La Escondida” Shiraz Reserve is an elegant red dry Argentinean wine made from Shiraz grapes, also known as Syrah, which is grown in the company’s vineyards in the Mendoza region. The vineyards are located in Santa Maria and Chanar Punco at an altitude of more than 1800 meters above sea level. Only red grape varieties are cultivated here. Harvested by hand when the berries reach optimum ripeness, then transport the grapes to the winery, where the berries are separated from the ridges. Vinification takes place by the traditional method used for red grape varieties, followed by maceration on the skin at a controlled temperature. The berries are delicately pressed in such a way as to preserve the anthocyanins, which affect the color saturation. The wine is aged in barrels of American and French oak for 9 months.
