This Malbec is a good example of the vibrant velvety character and intense fruit flavours that are a hallmark of the grape variety that Argentina has made its own Lovely pure juicy flavours of plum and blackberry, with a hint of chocolate and vanilla from the oak ageing, lead into a long lingering elegant finish. Argento vineyards are planted at some of the highest altitudes in the world in the eastern foothills of the Andes and produce some beautifully crafted wines such as this Malbec.

This superb Malbec is deep purple and offers concentrated aromas of plums, black cherries and notes of violet. In the mouth, the plum and red berry flavours are rounded off perfectly by soft, delicate tannins.

The best accompaniment to a Malbec wine are dishes including roasted red meat, pasta with red sauces and mature cheese with a complex flavour. Malbec wines are also great with typical Argentinian cuisines such as meat empanadas and stews.
